This hand-drawn tiger survived untouched for 30 years on a chalkboard in the Searle Chemistry Lab at the University of Chicago, presumably by sheer reverence. A smudged paw inspired its formal preservation in 2007. The tiger now enjoys its place safe behind plexiglass - and as the proud mascot of the school’s Chemistry department. (via @connorcoyne)
